Interests

Apart from being a programmer, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. In the winter, I am an avid snowboarder and body builder. During the warmer months, I enjoy jogging, swimming, and kayaking.

When forced indoors, I follow a number of different kind of genre movies and television shows. I like to cook, and I spend a large amount of my dinner time exploring new dishes. Also, I like to dance a lot, I even join a dancing club when I'm in Taiwan. Last but not least, I spend most of my leisure time studying latest technology advancements in the machine learning world.

Recently, I'm interesed in learning investing and e-commerce data analysis. Maybe I will get a business analysis certificate in the future!

Eddie helped set up a deep learning network to classify regions of interest in a video dataset we are collecting in my lab. I did not have funding to pay him - he did this as a volunteer. He did an *excellent* job and we are continuing to use (and extend) the system that he set up and documented. We have found that he did an excellent job - he left a system that was organized and commented well enough for an advanced undergraduate to take over. He was also very professional and responsive - again, as an unpaid volunteer - and even months later he quickly responds to any lingering questions from us. Throughout our association I have found Eddie to be an incredibly friendly, professional collaborator. I would not hesitate to hire him if I got funding for a programmer. He is a bright, competent, collegial, hard-working person. I have no reservations whatsoever about Eddie.
